9 Things to do in Dubai With Kids

21 July 2019

Spending the summer in Dubai with your family and kids? Dubai has a lot to offer for them. Here are our top 9 picks you can enjoy in Dubai with your kids.

1- Keep the kids busy in Jamjar summer camp

The Jamjar in Al Serkal Avenue is  a community arts space that offers a range of programs and workshops for kids and adults. They’re offering some awesome summer camps for children in July, August and the first week of September, where your kids can explore themselves and discover hidden talents. It costs AED 180 for a day or AED 972 for 6 days.

There are many other summer camps to choose from as well for a range of ages and budgets.

2 – Keep their game strong with indoor sports this summer

Do your kids want to play outside, but are unable to because of the heat? Don’t let the summer sun stop their athletic fun and fitness. Football, basketball, cricket, table tennis – you’ll find it all at Dubai Sports World in World Trade Center.

They can rent out an indoor, air conditioned court or pitch to play with friends, join a sports academy to refine their skills or organise a match with competing teams. The best part? You can join them and get your daily dose of exercise too!

3 – Make friends with Modhesh at Dubai World Trade Center

While you’re at Dubai World Trade Center… Dubai’s favourite mascot, Modhesh, is back at Modhesh World with free entry this summer!

From bungee jumping to arcade games, bumper cars, teacup rides and more – there’s something for everyone at Modhesh World in DWTC from 21st June to 17th August 2019.

4 – Explore Green Planet an indoor tropical rainforest in Citywalk

Only in Dubai can you take the kids to visit a beautiful rainforest in the middle of a hot, hot summer in the city! Entry to The Green Planet in Citywalk costs only AED 74!

With over 3000 plants and animals, your kids will experience something like never before and get close to nature in a unique way.

5 – Ice Ice Baby!

If you want to (quite literally) chill with your kids, you should take them to Chillout Lounge in Times Square Center.

The splendidly illuminated interiors in sub-zero temperatures with ice sculptures, ice seating and tables is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day. If you’re feeling chilly, you can even enjoy their soups, sandwiches, coffee and hot chocolate to stay warm. A child ticket costs AED 40 and an adult ticket costs AED 80.

6 – Let the kids make a mess that you won’t have to clean up…

That’s the dream! Let the kids get wild and rowdy at Smash Room in Al Quoz where they can unleash their inner Hulk and smash, shatter, stomp on and break everything they see for only AED 99 per person.

7 – Give the kids superpowers and defy gravity this summer

Taking the kids skydiving would probably burn a hole in your pocket, so why not head to iFly Dubai in Mirdif City Centre instead, where your kids can have a blast for just AED 250 per session?

A mix of bungee jumping and skydiving, this super fun indoor experience lets you defy gravity inside a vertical wind tunnel. You’ll have to try it to believe it!
