Citymax Hotels Contributes 185kg of Aluminium Cans to Emirates Environmental Group’s Can Collection Drive

Citymax Hotels proudly participated in the 29th annual Can Collection Drive organized by Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management. Held on 8th November 2025, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from organizations across the UAE, with collections taking place at six key sites in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Ajman.

As part of our ongoing sustainability initiatives, Citymax Hotels collected and delivered an impressive 185kg of aluminium cans for recycling. Our contribution formed part of the overall 12,946 kg of cans gathered in a single day by EEG and its partners—a significant step towards promoting recycling and reducing landfill waste in the region.

Since its inception in 1997, the Can Collection Campaign has successfully diverted over 476,316 kg of aluminium cans from landfills, offsetting 7,150 MT of CO₂e emissions, saving 11,562 m³ of landfill space, and conserving 108,403 million BTU of energy.

Citymax Hotels looks forward to continuing its partnership with EEG and participating in future environmental campaigns, including the upcoming Can Collection Day in February 2026.
