As a leading mid-market hotel based in the UAE, Citymax Hotels has made leaps in ensuring its mark in sustainability with the help and guidance of Dubai Sustainable Tourism. From donating old clothes to recycling over 31 thousand kilos of cardboard. Here is a list of the amazing feats of our teams at Citymax Hotel Al Barsha, Al Barsha At The Mall, Bur Dubai, Business Bay, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah.

Our initiatives – 

Our teams initiated clothes donations across all properties displaying images and videos in the hotel lobbies as well as elevators inviting guests to participate in the cause.

In a bid to improve our efforts in recycling, our teams did a phenomenal job in discarding and recycling over 31 thousand kilos of cardboard, mix paper, mix plastic, tins and glass.

Our teams also ensured to encourage our guests to do their part in being sustainable –

Save water signs in Arabic, English, and Russian were displayed in all hotel rooms and bathrooms.

Our other initiatives include –

• Paper menus were replaced with QR menus
• Business cards were replaced with E-business or digital business cards
• Blood Donation drives
• Can collective drive
• Water-saving aerators installed in all bathrooms of Citymax Hotel Business Bay
• Refillable bulk dispenser used in bathrooms for soap and shampoo
• Signs to encourage guests to use public transportation
• Motion sensor lighting was placed in staircases
• Guest room airconditioning temperature was maintained at 23-24 degrees to save energy
